Student drowns in AP village canal

Warangal, Andhra Pradesh, Apr 11 (UNI) A 21-year-old pharmacy student who went to enjoy a dip in the Gundlasingaram SRSP canal along with his friends drowned today.

A resident of Atmakur in the town, Sai, a student of the Kakatiya University College of Pharmacy went to the canal along with 15 students for a dip in the canal. However, he drowned accidently. Two students, who were also caught in the water were saved by other friends.

The body of Sai was fished out.

While one local villager drowned in the same canal yesterday, 15 persons met watery grave in the canal during the past three months, police said.
