SP says formation of third front means mid term LS polls

Faizabad, Apr 11 (UNI) The ruling Samajwadi Party today claimed that the formation of a Third Front was likely to trigger mid-term general elections in the country.

Former Union Minister and National Secretary of SP Beni Prasad Verma said here if the unflinching efforts of party supremo and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav to create a third front fructified, mid term Lok Sabha polls will be inevitable.

On the issue of AICC president Sonia Gandhi quitting from Lok Sabha, Mr Verma said it was not a sacrifice, but an act made under the pressure of the opposition parties.

Mr Verma also claimed that the Mulayam Singh led government in UP will return to power with a full majority after the 2007 assembly polls in the state.
