Remote-controlled ''Ganga jal'' offering at Somnath Temple
Junagadh, Apr 11 (UNI) For those devotees who always wanted to conduct 'puja' at the ancient Somnath Temple by offering Ganga Jal (holy Ganga water) to the Shivlinga but never could, here is some good news -- they can now do it using a remote control device! A devotee would just have to pay Rs 101 at the counter, after which he would be given a remote control device, which when pressed, will release Ganga water thrice, said Somnath Temple Trust manager Kamlesh Rawal.
''Many devotees were unhappy that they were not being allowed to go inside the 'garbha grah (sanctum sanctorium) to offer 'Ganga jal'. Technology has shown the way out. Now they will all go back satisfied,'' Mr Rawal said.
