B Ramalinga Raju is new NASSCOM Chairman

New Delhi, Apr 11: The National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), today appointed Mr B Ramalinga Raju as its Chairman for the current year.

''My endeavour will be to emphasise the vital role the industry plays today, both within the country's fast-growing economy and externally, through investments in other markets, like the US, UK, and Europe. As Chairman, I look forward to further enhancing the reputation and growth of our IT industry,'' Satyam Computer Services founder and Chairman of Ramalinga Raju said.

Meanwhile, Cognizant Technology Solutions President and CEO Lakshmi Narayanan has been appointed Vice Chairman.
