Man died in fatal accident

Mumbai, Apr 11 (UNI) A 27-year-old youth was killed on the spot when a speeding Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) undertaking's bus hit his bike from behind and ran over him in western suburb of Malad late last night.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Rajesh Shirke today said that the deceased, identified as Mitesh Patel (27), was a real estate developer and he was on his way home at Charkop, Kandivli from his construction site at Malad.

The accident occurred at around 2230 hrs. Patel was taking a U-turn on his bike, when the bus dashed and ran over him, killing him on the spot. The driver of the bus ran away from the spot, he added.

A case of accident has been registered and further investigations were on, police added.
