Lorry plunges into rivultet in AP village, two killed

Eluru, Apr 11 (UNI) Two people were killed on the spot when a lorry in which they were travelling plunged from a bridge and fell into a rivulet at Koyyalagudem village, 60 km from here early today.

According to police, the lorry driver lost control of the vehicle while passing the bridge and fell into the Pulivagu rivulet.

The deceased were identified as M Krishna Rao (49), lorry owner and G Suresh Kumar (25), cleaner. The lorry driver, who suffered serious injuries was admitted to the Koyyalagudem Government General hospital.

The lorry carrying cement bags was on its way to Anakapalli in Visakhapatnam district from a factory at Nalgonda, police said.

Pressing a crane police lifted the lorry and recovered the bodies from the rivulet.
