Handball team for Hong Kong

Jalandhar, Apr 11 (UNI) Firoz Ahmed Khan will lead a 14-member Indian team in the International Invitation Handball Championship to be held in Hong Kong from April 14 to 17.

The team, training at the National Institute of Sports in Patiala, will leave for Hong Kong tomorrow.

Chief coach Mahinder Pal told UNI on phone from Patiala that the boys had worked hard and they were expected to give their best performance. Teams taking part in the invitation tournament are Germany, Tukey, Chinese Taipei, China, Hong Kong and Macau.

The team: Sachin Bhaskar, Ratish Pandey (goalkeepers), Thomas Aprem, Sukhdev Singh, Firoz Khan (captain), Beenu Vasu, Sachin Chaudhary, Gaurav Sehgal, Prashid Kumar, Nayachandra Singh, Rashid Khan and Kunal Sharma.
