Four kg heroin seized in Amritsar
Amritsar, Apr 11 (UNI) The Special Narcotics Cell of the Punjab Police have seized four kg high grade heroin worth Rs four crore in the international market from the Saketri Bagh locality of the city.
Narcotics Cell SSP Sukhdev Singh today said that one person identified as Gurjit Singh a resident of Sultanwind was arrested in this connection while his accomplice managed to escape. The contraband had been smuggled from Pakistan, he said.
The SSP said that this seizure yesterday the nine kg heroin recovery from near the GNDU campus and 13 kg from the border village of Kakkar in the district in the last ten days.
He said all the three consignments seized were smuggled from Pakistan.
