Dowry harassment suspected behind woman's death

Vijayawada, Apr 11 (UNI) Police have registered a case of dowry harassment against the husband and in-laws of a 26-year-old housewife who died under mysterious cirumstances at Ramachandranagar here this afternoon.

Police registered the case following a complaint by the woman's father that his daughter died due to harassment for dowry by her in-laws and husband.

However, the woman's husband Sridhar claimed that she was found hanging in the bathroom and there were no disputes between them.

Mandal revenue officer (mro) conducted inquest on the body, police added.
