CEO holds training for ROs, AROs

Chennai, Apr 11 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Naresh Gupta today held a training programme for Returning Officers (ROs) and Assistant Returing Officers (AROs) from northern region in the run-up to the May eight Assembly elections in the state.

Election Commission Secretary K F Wilfred, who was present, briefed the officials about the norms for filing nominations, scrutiny and the model code of conduct.

Special CEO C P Singh, Joint CEO Senthil Kumar and Joint Secretary Bragadha were also present during the meeting held at the State Secretariat here.

The training programme was attended by the ROs and AROs from Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram and Cuddalore districts.
