Bus plows into Eid procession killing two, injuring seven

Shahjahanpur, Apr 11 (UNI) An Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus plowed into a Eid-ul-Milad-un-Nabi procession here today, killing two people including a minor and injuring seven others.

Police said here that the accident occurred near the Puttu Lal crossing when a USRTC bus of the Hardoi depot accidentally plowed into a Eid-ul-Milad-un-Nabi procession. Two people Gausiya (10) and Ashfak (25) were killed on the spot, while seven others sustained injuries, police added.

Agitated over the incident, local residents blocked the road at the crossing and were demanding the immediate arrest of those involved in incident.

The mob also damaged the bus which caused the accident.
