Mumbai, Apr 11 (UNI) National award-winning Bollywood director Madhur Bhandarkar likes to describe himself as an experimental film maker.
Bhandarkar who made award winning films like 'Chandni Bar' and 'Page 3', told reporters here last night after the completion of his latest venture- 'Corporate'- he does not stick to any particular formula but makes movies on subjects he has in mind.
He said, ''I choose actors according to the characters. But, if need be, I will even work with big stars.'' On his latest film 'Corporate' slated for a July 7 release, Bhandarkar said, '' This film tackles the underbelly of the corporate world and is an expose on the darker side of the business world that most people aspire to be part of or already are a part of it.'' Elaborating on the theme of his film, Bhandarkar said, ''there are 45 characters in the film with only three songs that are intricate to the plot.'' Besides, he said that two of his characters in the movie -Steve and Kevin-were from the American Consulate and had never faced the camera before. ''Notheless, their shot was okayed in one take. And that is commendable,'' said Bhandarkar.
The movie, which was completed in six months flat, boasts of Bolywood stars like Bipasha Basu and Kay Kay in the lead roles. The supporting cast includes actors like Rajat Kapoor, Raj Babbar, Harsh Chhaya, Minissha Lamba and Sameer Dattani.
Shamir Tandon, who had earlier composed music for Bhandarkar's previous movie 'Page 3' has also scored teh music for 'Corporate'.
Asha Bhosale, Lata Mangeshkar, Gary Lawyer, Vasundhara Das, Alisha Chinai and Kailash Kher have lent their voice for for the film.
Bhandarkar said, ''Corporate is a triology of three films, which began with Page 3 andn will be completed with the release of my next film Traffic Signal'', as a parting shot.
