BC welfare organisations demand justice
Hyderabad, Apr 11 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh BC Welfare Association today demanded that the state government must take steps to allot house sites and pattas for the downtrodden people in three colonies at Jawaharnagar village in Shameerpet Mandal.
Two persons Chinta Ramanna Madiga and Chinta Shekar, representing the colonies are on indefinite hunger strike highlighting this demand.
Speaking to newsmen here, Association President R Krishnaiah said nearly 4200 families were living in three slums for the last five years in Shameepet mandal.
He alleged that the state government had alloted pattas for 800 families two years back.But it had not issued the house sites. On the contrary, the state government has now issued orders asking the families to vacate the place and remove their huts.
The State BC Front Chairman G Mallesh Yadav urged the state government to allot the plots immediately.
