AIRTEL expands its mobile services in Asom

Guwahati, Apr 11: Airtel, India's largest mobile service provider, announced the launch of its mobile services in a number of towns in Asom on the eve of Rongali Bihu.

The move came after having received an excellent response from the customers in all the major towns of Asom.

It has launched mobile services in Lanka, Hojai, Morigaon, Lakhimpur, Dhemaji,Goalpar,Abhayapuri,Bijoynagar and Palabari towns.

Airtel now connects all the big as well as smaller towns in Asom on its a state-of-the-art network deployed and being managed by Ericson.

Announcing the launch Atul Chaturvedi, chief operating officer (mobile) Bharati Tele Ventures Ltd, said Airtel,after connecting all major towns in Asom it is expanding its services to smaller towns.The same service experience provided in the rest of India is now available to customers in the north east, he said.

Since its launch Airtel has also introduced customised and innovative value added service like 'hello' tunes,Airtel live and ring tones which have already become popular with the customers.
