John Abraham recovering

Mumbai, Apr 10 (UNI) Model-turned-actor John Abraham, who is recuperating at the Leelavati Hospital in Bandra, is said to be responding positively to the treatment, hospital sources said today.

The actor is being treated for soft tissue injury on his left ankle and knee. A team of orthopaedic surgeons will visit the actor late this evening to decide when to discharge him.

Abraham was admitted to the hospital following an accident on Saturday night when his bike collided with a cyclist at Khar in northern Mumbai suburb.

He was speeding on his Yamaha motorbike at 0230 hrs when he came across two boys on a cycle from an opposite direction near the turning of 16th Road at Khar, the police said.

To prevent a collision, he sharply swerved and fell off his bike fracturing his leg. The boys sustained minor injuries but were not hospitalised, the police added.

He has been booked for negligent driving, they said.
