Wanted criminal shot dead by rivals

Kanpur, Apr 9: A hardcore criminal was allegedly shot dead by a rival gang in Gammu Khan Ka Hata under Colonelgang area of Kanpur city.

Police said six armed criminals yesterday fired indiscriminately on Javed alias Ringbaz resulting in his instant death.

Leader of the D-13 gang, Javed was involved in about 45 criminal cases and had long been evading arrest.

The miscreants managed to escape after committing the crime in broad daylight.

The body had been sent for postmortem and a FIR registered in this regard. Investigations were on.
