Two gas pipeline projects to be commissioned next year- GAIL
Hyderabad , Apr 9 (UNI) Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) Director (projects) S Prabhakar Rao today said the two main gas pipeline projects, Dahej-Uran and Dabhol-Panvel pipeline projects, which were being under execution would be commissioned early next year.
Speaking to newspersons here, Mr Rao said the two gas pipeline projects having a combined length of around 775 km at an estimated cost of Rs 3000 crore.
Stating that the GAIL was also transporting LPG through its two main LPG pipelines from Jamnagar to Loui and Visakhapatnam to Secunderabad having a total length of 1900 km, he said a project has been undertaken to set up air pollution related disease diagnostic centres in 22 cities having alarming pollution levels.
Mr Rao said the GAIL turnover for the year 2004-05 was Rs 12,400 crore with a net profit of Rs 1950 crore.
