Srinagar-Jammu Highway closed after landslides
Srinagar, Apr 9 (UNI) The 300-km Srinagar-Jammu National Highway has been closed for vehicular traffic due to landslides triggered by heavy rainfall since early today.
The highway, the lifeline of the Kashmir valley, has been closed at Panthal between Banihal and Ramban, traffic police said.
The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) personnel were working continuously to make the road fit for vehicular traffic.
Several trucks and passenger vehicles are stranded on the highway due to the sudden closure.
