Satej Patil nabbed, released on bail

Kolhapur, Apr 8 (UNI) Member of Legislative Assembly Satej Patil alias Bunty was today arrested for violating the election code of the Kolhapur District Central Cooperative Bank and later released on bail here.

Police said on April two, Patil's personal assistant Bhikaji Mane violated the code of conduct during the bank's elections. When they detained Mane, Patil objected to it and clashed with city Deputy Superintendent of Police Sudhakar Pathare.

Then, police registered a case against Patil and Mane on charge of preventing police from discharging their duties as well as violating election code, police added.
