Naxalites exploded mines amids opening of school
Bokaro, Apr 09 (UNI) Naxalites exploded six landmines in Jhumra hills during opening of a school in teh area of the district while about a 30-kg landmine was unearthed by the police today.
There were no casuality in the explosions.
Police said the Naxalites exploded the mines to express opposition for opening the newly constructed school building, which was inaugurated by district Deputy Commissioner Pratap Singh.
The proscribed ultras exploded the mines aiming the police and CRPF personnel, who were patrolling the area.
Jhumra hill is dominated by the Naxalites.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Anil Palta said that a 30-kg landmine was recovered at a place about four km from Jhumra hills this morning.
