Man held with grenade launcher

Diphu, Apr 9 (UNI) One grenade launcher was recovered from a person at the second gate of Assam Rifles training centre, 6 km from here, today.

The Superintendent of Police said the arrested Narayan Ingti, had arrived in Diphu this morning from Dimapur in neighbouring Nagaland.

He was on his way to deliver the launcher at a place six km from here, when he was arrested.

The SP said Ingti was suspected to be an arms dealer. However, his links with insurgent groups were not yet known.
