MAHE to conduct Online test for admission for PG courses

Manipal, Apr 9 (UNI) The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) one of the prestigious educaional institutions in the coutry also a deemed university would conduct entrance test for the admission to post graduate medical and dental courses through online from this academic year.

Speaking to newsmen here today the vice chancellor of the MAHE, Prof Ballal, has said that the online-test which is being conducted for the first time in the country would be in two phases first beginning from April 27 spread over two weeks. The second phase of the online test would start in the month of May last week would also cover all other postgraduate courses including Nursing, Technology and other courses.

Prof Ballal has said that the new system of conducting entrance test would enable the students appeared for the entrance to known their results next day itself. He sid that to prevent impersonation and foul play biometric and hip-teck monitoring systems would put in place to all the computers that would be fittedwith web camaras.

He said that the entire process would be audited by a third party for security compliance. The university has also plans to increase the number of examination centers to reach out more number of students. It was also planned to extend the online entrance test to other undergruate courses from the next academic yer, he added.
