Hearing on Bapat's anticipatory bail on Tuesday
Mumbai, Apr 9 (UNI) Anticipatory bail plea of former Mumbai Police Commissioner Shrikant Bapat will come before a special ACB court on April 12.
Mr Bapat, who was summoned by ACB's (anti-corruption bureau) investigating officer Assistant Commissioner of Police Sudhakar Poojari for questioning in the MPSC scam on March 27, instead, filed an application seeking anticipatory bail as he apprehended his arrest.
The court, in its interim order, directed the ACB not to arrest him till the matter was heard by it.
Mr Bapat, who was a member of Commission between 1994 and 1999, is alleged to have played a role in the recruitment of the three Lohar brothers as Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs).
