Bangladesh win toss, bat first v Australia
FATULLAH, Bangladesh, Apr 9 (Reuters) Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat in gloomy conditions in the first test against Australia today.
Australia recalled seamer Jason Gillespie, middle-order batsman Michael Clarke and leg spinner Stuart MacGill, dropping all rounder Andrew Symonds to 12th man.
Bangladesh recalled fast bowler Mashrafe Mortaza and included middle order batsman Rajin Saleh.
Mortaza has struggled with back problems since playing the last of his 18 test matches against England in 2005.
Rain and gusty winds were forecast for today. Tropical rainstorms occur frequently in Bangladesh between March and May.
