AILDMK to announce candidates on Apr 11

Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, Apr 9 (UNI) The All India Latchiya DMK (AILDMK), led by Actor-Director Vijaya T Rajender, will announce its list of candidates for the May eight elections to the Tamil Nadu Assembly on April 11.

Speaking to newspersons here after announcing Mr N Sampath's candidature for the Cuddalore constituency, Party President Rajender expressed his anguish at the party being offered only one seat by the AIADMK to contest the elections and recalled the hardwork put in by his partymen to ensure the victory of the ruling party candidates in the last year's byelections to the Gummidipoondi and Kancheepuram constituencies.

Having been in politics for 28 years, his strength had been underestimated by the AIADMK, he claimed.

Mr Rajender also said his party will not take part in any alliance that included the MDMK led by its General Secretary Vaiko as he was known betraying those who reposed faith in him.
