2000 jawans to be recruited in CRPF from J

Bantalab, Jammu, Apr 9 (UNI) Central Reserve Police Force Deputy Inspector General R K Dua has given clear indications of inducting 2000 jawans from Jammu and Kashmir into the force for the purpose of guarding important establishments.

Speaking at function organised on the eve of Valour Day, Mr Dua said in spite of added responsibilities, the jawans were doing well and some 25 battalions had been replaced by the BSF in the last two years.

He said the Union Home Ministry had been intimidated about the shortage of trained personnel to achieve the objective of security and to meet this objective there was a requirement of 15,000 jawans.

Lauding their hard work, he further added that the personnel were trying their level best to contain insurgency in the state.

The DIG clarified that the incident of constable Anand Kumar shooting at his colleagues did not have any corelation with stress or depression. He admiited jawans performed in odd conditions but it was universal and not something specifically related to CRPF or armed forces.

He said stress was something natural but the force was trying to solve the problems of its personnel, something it has taken very seriously.
