Two killed, 12 injured in cyclone

Bettiah, Bihar, Apr 8 (UNI) Altogether two women lost their lives, while more than 12 people were injured at Belwa village under Sathi police station of West Champaran district when cyclone hit the area last evening.

Official sources said here today that the women lost their lives when their houses collapsed under the impact of the severe cyclone.

Victims had been identified as Jalerwa Khatoon and Krishnawati Devi.

Fury of the cyclone had also left the impact at Jaitia and Samhauta villages, where more than 12 people sustained injuries.

Rescue and relief team had been sent to the affected villages.
