Train movement suspended in Magadh
Gaya, Apr 8 (UNI) East Central Railway(ECR) announced suspension of train movement in Magadh region for 24 hours with effect from 2100 hrs today in view of the bandh call by CPI(Maoist) in protest against arrest of their two leading comrades.
An ECR release said that seven trains had been cancelled, as many trains were to be regulated at different stations, 25 trains had been diverted to other routes and three other trains were rescheduled.
Routes of three Rajdhani Express trains to and from Howrah, Sealdah and Bhubaneswar had been diverted and altogether 42 mail/express trains would be affected following rescheduling, cancellation or regulated movements, the release stated.
The decision to suspend train services was taken in view of security threat to the trains and safety of passengers, the release added.
