SriLankan's flight timings change due to govt decision

New Delhi, Apr 8 (UNI) Departure and arrival times of flights into and out of Colombo will advance by half hour from April 15 due to Sri Lankan government's decision to turn the clock back by reverting to the time zone GMT plus five-and-a-half hours.

The first SriLankan's flight to have a time change will be UL316 from Colombo via Singapore to Kuala Lumpur on April 15. The flight originally scheduled to depart from Colombo at 0035 hrs will now depart at 0005 hrs.

All SriLankan's flight times into and out of its overseas destinations will remain unchanged. The airline is taking steps to change all systems based on GMT plus six hours to GMT plus five-and-a-half hours to be in line with the time change.
