Silver bat for Dhoni

Jamshedpur, Apr 8 (UNI) The Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) will honour swashbukling wicketkeeper-batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni with a silver bat for his achievements in the international cricket.

The JSCA would present the silver bat on April 10 during a felicitation to Dhoni for being the first Test cricketer from the state.

JSCA president Amitabh Chowdhury said, ''This is a matter of pride for the association and the state that Dhoni is scaling new heights everyday and bringing laurels for the country.'' Chowdhury said the JSCA had decided to inscribe the famous quote from Roman emperor Julius Ceasar ''so be it always'' on the bat, the phrase aptly fit for Dhoni for his stupendous feat.

He said the JSCA would also accord honorary membership of the association to the be star cricketer.
