Hyderabad, Apr 8 (UNI) Ratan N Tata Chairman of the Tata Group today cracked a joke on company chairmen including himself at the Graduation Ceremony of the Indian School of Business, sending faculty, students and their parents into peels of laughter, narrating a story.

A person wanted to buy a parrot. He went to a shop and enquired about the price. The shop owner told him that the parrot would cost 5,000 dollars. The person said it was pretty expensive and asked the shop owner what was special about the parrot. The shop owner told him that it could type in English with his beak.

Expressing his inability to buy it, the person asked about the price of another parrot. The shop-keeper told him that it would cost 10,000 dollars. "What does he do for that kind of money"? the persons asked. "It can speak three or four languages sir" came the reply.

The disappointed person asked about the price of another parrot. The shop-keeper told him that it cost 30,000 dollars. "What does he do" questioned the bewildered buyer.

"I don't know sir. Others call him chairman" replied the shop owner.

Mr Tata narrated this story and added that probably people in his companies also considered him that way.
