Mine kills one, injures three in SE Turkey

DIYARBAKIR, Apr 8 (Reuters) One soldier was killed and three people, including two senior police officers, were injured when their car drove over a mine in southeast Turkey today, security officials said.

The attack in the mainly Kurdish southeast comes after security forces killed six members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in an operation near the Iraqi border.

Two of the injured were senior officers in the paramilitary police force which operates in rural areas.
