India finish 9th in Queen Sirikit Cup
Adelaide , Apr 8 (UNI) India finished ninth among 13 nations with an aggregate three days' total of 486, 54 par over in the Queen Sirikit Cup at the Royal Adelaide Golf Club here.
The Indian team comprising Shraddhanjli Singh, Irina Brar and Vandaba Aggarwal carded 177 (+33), 154 (+10) and 155 (+11).
Chinese Taipei pipped New Zealand after a sudden death playoff with Chinese Taipei at the Royal Adelaide Golf Club today. At the conclusion of third round, Chinese Taipei and New Zealand were tied at 449 (plus 17) which led to the playoff.
In the individual competitions, Sharddhanjali Singh returned the best card among the Indians. She totaled 239 (88+77+74) and played 23 over for a tied 14 th position.
Ace Indian women golfer from Chandigarh Irina Brar settled for a 27th spot with an aggregate total of 247 (89+77+81) for 31 over par in three days.
Vandana Aggarwal, the third member of the Indian squad captained by Anu Bindra, secured 34 th berth in the individual competitions.
She carded 92 on first day, and followed with 83 and 81 for nett score of 256 (+40).
