Hardwar unit of BHEL registers all time high turn over

Hardwar Apr 8: The Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) unit of Hardwar, one of the navratnas company of the country, registered an all time high turn over in the financial year 2005-06.

''The unit achieved a total turn over of Rs 1874 this year as against 1597 during the financial year 2003-04, marking a growth of 17 per cent, the Executive Director of the company told reporters here today.

Mr Gupta said the company also set a record by earning Rs 282 crores of the profit before tax, as against Rs 230 crores last year, marking an increase of 23 per cent.

BHEL Hardwar supplied equipments, commissioned during the year, added 1250 MW of power to the national grid, which is 36 per cent of the country's total added capacity in this year, he added.
