Dehra Dun, Apr 8: The State Unit of the BJP in Uttaranchal today alleged that the Congress government was insensitive to the drought like situation in the state.

''Not a single team from the centre has visited the state to take stock of the situation so far,'' said BJP State President Bhagat Singh Koshyari.

While talking to the reporters here he alleged that the state government has not fed the Centre with full information about the state's condition. ''Instead of handling it as a war like situation, the government is demonstrating a total insensitiveness towards it'' he pointed out.

He added that the Tiwari government was indifferent towards increasing Maoist activities in the border areas of the state '' No strategy has been chalked out to tackle it by the state government,'' he stressed.

Referring to the Prevention of Disqualification Bill passed by the government, Mr Koshyari said the Congress was bypassing the rules and regulations and was acting in a dictatorial manner.

''Before passing the Bill, it did not bother to discuss the issue with the opposition,'' he lamented. Informing about the BJP's future venture he said the Party would organise ''Tala Dalo-Ghera Dalo'' campaign in different parts of the state from June 15 to 30.
