Government cut off mobile services, imposes day time curfew
Kathmandu, Apr 8 (UNI) Nepal's royal government today cut off the mobile service and imposed day time curfew in Kathmandu valley a few hours before grand demonstration scheduled by the Seven Party Alliance (SPA).
The Government suspended the mobile services of the Government owned Nepal telecom and private owned Mero Mobile from this morning.
However, the land line phones and wireless UTL phones have been spared.
The Government has imposed curfew in major cities of Kathmandu valley from 1000hrs to 2100hrs local time. The Government has also ordered the security forces to shot anyone disobeying the order.
SPA has decided to take out a massive demonstration in Kathmandu and other parts of the country today coinciding the popular movement of 1990, which ended absolute rule of the King and established democracy in the country.
