Congress MLA escapes Maoist attack

Ongole, Apr 8 (UNI) Udumula Srinivasa Reddy, Congress MLA from Cumbum constituency of Prakasham district, had a providential escape from a Maoist attack this morning.

Maoists hurled bombs at his car at Kakarla Gap in Markapur Mandal, police said. Though the car was damaged, the driver did not stop the vehicle, till they reached safety, they said, adding the MLA suffered no injuries.
