Bajaj to launch dual-fuel two-wheeler

New Delhi, Apr 8 (UNI) Country's second biggest motorcycle maker Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) today said it will launch a dual-fuel two-wheeler in the next one year.

''We are developing a dual-fuel two-wheeler. Apart from CNG/LPG, it will also run on petrol,'' Bajaj Auto Managing Director Rajiv Bajaj told reporters here.

He said the company expects to sell significant numbers of the dual-fuel vehicle.

Speaking about the company's commercial four-wheeler plans, Mr Bajaj said the vehicle was currently being developed and expected it to hit the market in the next two-and-a-half years.

''The entire research and development was being done in-house,'' he added.

He, however, said the tonnage and the engine capacity of the vehicle had not yet been decided.
