AICCTU supports striking SBI employees
New Delhi, Apr 8 (UNI) The All India Central Council of Trade Unions (AICCTU) today said it will observe an all-India protest day on Monday in support of the striking employees of the State Bank of India and to protest privatisation of Delhi and Mumbai airports.
In a statement here, AICCTU General Secretary Swapan Mukherjee said the Reserve Bank of India had approved the SBI employees' long-pending demand for revision of the rate of pension, but the the UPA Government was not accepting them.
He also charged the Government with unilaterally deciding to privatise Delhi and Mumbai airports and expressed solidarity with the protesting employees.
