New Delhi, Apr 8 (UNI) After experiencing a high of 39.1 degrees Celsius yesterday, the capital recorded 39.6 degrees Celsius today.
The maximum temperature was five degrees more than what was normally expected at this time while the minimum was 19.3 degrees Celsius, which was the normal temperature around this time, India Meteorological Department said.
And as if this was not enough 40 degrees Celsius had been predicted for the next 24 hours.
Temperatures have been rising steadily for the past week with April feeling like May-June.
However, both BBC and CNN have predicted some relief from the scorching heat, though only next week.
