Two quakes hit Gujarat
Ahmadabad, Apr 6 (UNI) People rushed out of their houses in panic as a moderate intensity quake rocked various regions of the state around 2330 hrs tonight.
The quake, measured 5.5 on Richter scale, was having its epicentre at 23.5 degree North and 70.3 degree East in Kutch district, according to the official sources.
It was felt at Rajkot, Surendranagar, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Porbandar, Morbi and Rapar.
However, there was no report of any casualty.
Meanwhile, slight tremor were also felt in some parts of Mumbai, including Varsova, Bandra and Kandivali, sources added.
Earlier, a moderate quake, measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale, had rocked the state at 1733 hrs.
