Three detained in connection with bomb blast at Nanded

Nanded, Apr 7 (UNI) Three persons have been detained in connection with the blast at a house here, Special Inspector General of Police Surya Prakash Gupta today said.

He informed mediapersons that the yesterday's blast, which killed two persons and left three othes injured, was caused by an improvised explosive devise (IED).

Another live IED, which was recovered from the blast site, had been shifted to a safe place, Mr Gupta said.

The police have detained three persons in connection with the blast and registered an offence u/s 20 (1) of the Explosives Act against six persons, including the three seriously injured youths, who have been admitted to Guru Govindsingh Medical College Hospital with severe burn injuries.

The deceased were identified as Naresh Kondewar and Himanshu Panse, both aged 25.
