Silver shoots up further, gold rises on global advice

Mumbai, Apr 7: Values of silver today touched a new peak, while gold also rose on bullish global advice during the opening trading session, traders at the bullion market here said.

Following were the rates: Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade : Rs 17,980, Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint: : Rs 8,675, Gold 99.9 purity variety : Rs 8,715.
