SC refers Parrikar's petition to constitional bench

New Delhi Apr 7 (UNI) The Supreme Court today referred to constitution bench the petition filed by former Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar challenging the dismissal of his government.

A bench comprising Mr Justice B N Srikrishan and Mr Justice Tarun Chatterjee issued the order after hearing senior counsel Mukul Rohatagi who alleged that the petitioner's government was illegally dismissed and the defections were engineered by his opponents through allurement and corrupt practices.

The Manohar Parrikar was dismissed on February 2 last year and a Congress Ministry installed in the state.
