NDA,UPA leaders consulting legal experts

Ranchi, Apr 7 (UNI) The leaders of ruling NDA and opposition UPA are busy consulting legal experts over the issuance of show cause notice to 19 Jharkhand legislators by the Election Commission in connection with the disqualification petitions relating to holding the 'office of profit' controversy.

In the notices issued to the MLAs, including Chief Minister Arjun Munda, the Election Commission has directed them to submit their defence on or before April 14.

Mr Munda, who is currently outside the state, reportedly has stated that if necessary they would seek fresh election but there was no threat to his government.

He said he was ready with appropiate replies to the charges levelled against the NDA MLAs.
