Five die, two injured in road mishap near Parali
Beed, Maharashtra, Apr 7 (UNI) Five persons died and two sustained serious injuries when their jeep dashed against a roadside tree at Tokwadi village, about 95 km away from here, in the early hours today.
Police here said seven persons, including a woman, were travelling on the jeep from Nanded to Mumbai when the mishap occurred at around 0300 hrs today.
The jeep apparently dashed against a roadside tree when the driver tried to give way to a speeding vehicle.
The five killed on the spot have been identified as - Balasaheb Patil (52-resident of Kalyan, Thane), Waman Jondhale (50-Nanded), Satish Jadhav (30-Sakri), Sheikh Salim Sheikh Abbas (42-Virar, Thane) and Narayan Dolara (55-Nanded).
The two injured have been admitted to a nearby Government hospital, police said.
The bodies have been sent to the Parali sub-district Government hospital for postmortem, police added.
