Alert along Indo-Nepal border after Maoist attack in Nepal
Patna, Apr 7 (UNI) A High Alert has been sounded along the Indo-Nepal international border adjoining Bihar following a series of Maoists attacks in Nepal.
DIG of Seema Shasatra Bal (SSB) S K Jha told UNI today a strict vigil was being maintained along the 800-km international border area.
He said seven companies of SSB had been deployed in the border area to thwart any Maoist attempt to sneak into the Indian side following the crackdown, launched against them by the Nepalese Royal Army.
Mr Jha said 600 outposts had been properly manned by the security forces.
District administrations of Darbhanga, Madhubani and Muzaffarpur had been alerted as the Nepalese Maoists used to take shelter in these districts for medical care surreptitiously.
All the private hospitals and nursing homes of the said districts had been placed under surveillance, he added.
