30 cattle die due to anthrax
Narsinghpur (MP), Apr 7 (UNI) In view of over 30 cattle deaths in this district in the past four months due to anthrax, the Madhya Pradesh Government has vaccinated the cattle in three km radius of the affected area.
Veterinary Services Commissioner Rajesh Rajora told UNI that more than 30 cattle head died at Kartal village in this district's Karai tehsil in the past four months.
Dr Rajora allayed concerns about the spread of the disease and possibility of its mutation from animals to human beings.
He said a team of 14 veterinary doctors has been dispatched to the affected areas for vaccinating the animals.
Dr Rajora added that the situation was under control.
