19000 cartridges recovered from container at JNPT

Mumbai, Apr 7 (UNI) Custom officials have recovered 19,000 live cartridges from a container at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) at Uran in Raigad district.

Sources in the customs department, said here today that a Chembur-based metallic company had received a consignment from Al-hamida Metal trading company based in Kuwait. Officials found 19,000 live cartriges at Sea Bird Container godown at Uran yesterday. Other 11 containers have been sealed by the officials, sources added.

A case has been registered with Uran police.
