Windies record blown to the winds by India
Kochi, Apr 6 (UNI) Today's series clinching ODI win by India against England accorded the home team a world record of chasing successfully in 15 consecutive matches.
The record for most number of successful chase was so far held by the West Indies, who, under Clive Lloyd, registered 14 successive wins in the mid-eighties.
India also notched up another record. With today's win, they registered eight successive victories for the third time. The two previous occasions were during the Benson and Hedges World Series Cup in Australia in 1985 and in the 2003 World Cup in South Africa.
